About Noah James Waddell

Noah and Bill .jpg

It is a known fact that at a northern intersection of the suburbs and the open country of the Lone Star State, you could hear Noah James Waddell singing show tunes at approximately 95 decibels at all hours of the day and night. Highly influenced by the clown-magician that lived in the downstairs master bedroom, their dad, they developed a knack for performing and making people laugh. Noah demonstrated their imaginative mind early in life when creating vaudeville-like scenes for school talent shows and carving out magical kingdoms out of cardboard boxes. Noah's love for a combination of fantasy and the unknown are what drives them today. When he isn't acting, Noah is usually at the movie theater or being an emotional support human to his cat, Bill. With their very slim build, unique facial features, and long curly locks, Noah is itching to be the next arrow-flinging elf in the newest fantasy trilogy or even the best friend in the screenplay of that coming of age novel everybody can’t stop talking about.

The Back Story

I am, originally, from the Dallas, Texas area, but received a scholarship to attend a Performing Arts School in Los Angeles. So, in 2020, just after graduation I traveled the 1400 miles to pursue my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting.

I, literally, lived with a Clown for 18 years who was a big influence on me. You can say performing is in my genes since that clown was my Dad. He's a working magician and clown who performs regularly. I got the musical, creative side from my Mom who is a musician and loves to play the piano and produce electronic music.

I kind of started my career in acting when I participated in all the talent shows in elementary school, but my theatre journey really began in 6th grade. I went home one day and asked my parents to help me practice my singing so I could audition for a school musical. After that, the singing never stopped. It was endless show tunes in the house, in the car, and everywhere. I ended up performing in around 8 plays while in middle school. I can just imagine what the neighbors were thinking when they heard me belting out some of those show tunes from my room. Eventually, I auditioned for the advanced theatre classes in high school and moved into the International Baccalaureate Theatre program. It helped develop a really good rapport with how I felt about acting, plus I had many accomplishments which motivated me. I was awarded numerous scholarships at several institutions once I graduated, but my destination was L.A. I am, currently, a senior at AMDA College of the Performing Arts here in Los Angeles and hope to have my BFA in Acting after the spring of 2024.

I have many interests, and in addition to singing, I love spray painting. I think I made a connection between growing up seeing how my mom was a huge sci-fi, fantasy fan and watching people using spray paint to portray these beautiful space and other-worldly scenes. So I just started learning and doing it myself. I painted a scene of the Star Trek Enterprise which she has hanging in her office to this day. I'm a big fan of claymation and love making really bad raps/beatboxing with my friends. Other than that, I love spending time with my cat, Bill.
